Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Drafter Engineer specializing in Cabinet Vision to join our innovative design team. In this dynamic role, you will leverage advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools to develop precise cabinet layouts, detailed construction documents, and system designs that meet project specifications and building codes. Your expertise will drive the creation of visually compelling schematics and technical drawings, ensuring seamless communication between design, engineering, and manufacturing teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cabinetry projects, combining creativity with technical precision to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Develop detailed cabinet layouts and 3D models using Cabinet Vision software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements. Create comprehensive construction detail documentation, including schematics, assembly instructions, and fabrication drawings. Apply building code analysis and building information modeling (BIM) tools to ensure designs meet all relevant building code compliance standards. Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, Production and Installation Teams to develop integrated system designs for cabinetry and related components. Conduct technical reviews of schematics and drafting work for accuracy, clarity, and consistency across project documentation. Support production & installation teams by providing detailed drawings that facilitate efficient fabrication and installation processes. Qualifications Proven experience with Cabinet Vision OR CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools tailored for cabinetry design. Knowledge of construction detail documentation practices and construction experience preferred. Familiarity with building code analysis and compliance standards relevant to cabinetry systems. Ability to accurately interpret architectural schematics and specifications. Excellent drafting skills combined with a keen eye for detail in technical drawings and visual representations. Background in interior design or mechanical design is advantageous.
