Job Overview We are seeking an Experienced Millwork Draftsman to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for engineering custom cabinetry and architectural millwork projects from design concept through approved shop drawings and production release, transforming architectural and interior design documents into complete technical drawing packages that communicate construction methods, material requirements, hardware selections, and fabrication details necessary for manufacturing and installation. This role combines advanced drafting expertise with practical woodworking knowledge to develop efficient, buildable solutions while preserving the design intent of the architect and interior designer. The position requires independent evaluation of project requirements, sound engineering decisions, and the ability to resolve technical challenges with minimal supervision. A thorough understanding of millwork construction, manufacturing processes, architectural detailing, building materials, hardware applications, and industry standards is needed and you must be able to proactively identify design conflicts, incomplete information, dimensional discrepancies, and construction issues early in the engineering process to prevent production and installation challenges. In addition to project responsibilities, this position serves as a technical resource within the Engineering Department, promoting drafting consistency, and providing guidance and sharing knowledge with less experienced draftsmen. Duties Develop detailed shop drawings and construction documents for custom millwork projects using AutoCAD Produce precise construction detail documentation that guides manufacturing and installation processes Review technical drawings for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to Exclusive Woodworking drawing standards Prepare drawing submittals, revisions, and record set packages and ensure they are properly organized for internal and client review. Review returned architect and designer markups to determine whether requested changes affect scope, cost, schedule, material orders, production methods, or installation requirements. Coordinate with project managers when potential change-order items are identified during drawing review or revision work. Ensure accepted changes are incorporated into updated drawings, record sets, production drawings, and release documentation. Maintain orderly drawing files and version control so the correct information is available to Project Mgmt, Production, Purchasing, CNC, and Installation Field check coordination Review preliminary and final field check information provided by PM or Installation. Identify field conflicts, out-of-square conditions, site constraints, appliance or hardware conflicts, and other issues requiring input from the PM, designer, architect, or Production. Communicate these items by email with a marked-up PDF explaining the issue.

Confirm that field conditions are reflected in dwgs and production information before release to layout. Requirements 5+ years creating shop drawing using AutoCAD 2D software in highly customized residential architectural millwork projects High proficiency in millwork and cabinet construction, including knowledge of architectural hardware High proficiency in MS Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook Working knowledge of Bluebeam or similar PDF software Construction experience or woodworking shop experience gained through building cabinetry in a commercial setting is a plus but not required

$32.00 - $37.00 per hour
