100% Onsite The Opportunity Put your CAD experience to work on aerospace digital-twin programs while helping develop the next generation of engineering talent. NobleTek is seeking CAD Quality Specialists to join our established onsite team in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will review aerospace CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Just as importantly, you will provide practical feedback and technical guidance to student modelers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands good CAD practices and enjoys helping others improve. Previous experience in a formal CAD checking position is helpful but not required. Candidates with mechanical design, drafting, aerospace, manufacturing, or related CAD experience can be trained in the program's review processes. Candidates may be considered at the Associate, CAD Quality Specialist, or Senior CAD Quality Specialist level based on their experience and demonstrated proficiency. About NobleTek NobleTek provides engineering and manufacturing-support services to the aerospace industry, including 3D design and data conversion, NC programming, composite design for man support, tool and fixture design, CMM programming, and digital-twin validation. Since 2022, NobleTek has supported multiple aerospace digital-twin programs in Wichita. You will join an experienced onsite team that works closely with student modelers and customer personnel to validate high-quality aerospace 3D models. What You Will Do Review aerospace 3D CAD models and sub-assemblies against project-specific requirements. Identify modeling errors, missing information, inconsistencies, and departures from established CAD practices. Interpret 3D models, engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements. Provide clear, constructive feedback to student modelers. Help student modelers develop a better understanding of aerospace practices, manufacturing considerations, and effective CAD techniques. Communicate with customers and team members regarding technical questions, project requirements, changes, and milestone completion. Manage assigned work and priorities to support project quality, schedule, and productivity expectations. Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on consistent quality and continual improvement. Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position. Experience with
CATIA V5, CATIA
V6, 3DEXPERIENCE or
SIEMENS NX.
At least three years of professional experience using CAD software in mechanical design, drafting, manufacturing, aerospace, or a related technical field. Mechanical design or drafting experience. Ability to interpret 3D CAD data, assemblies, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or errors in CAD work. Strong mechanical aptitude, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with student modelers, customers, and other team members. Ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience with aerospace structures or component design. Knowledge of aerospace design, modeling best practices and/or GD&T. Experience developing 3D surfaces generated from point cloud geometry. Experience reviewing manufacturing drawings for accuracy, completeness, fit, and function. Knowledge of data-management and configuration-management principles. Previous experience mentoring, training, or supporting developing CAD users. Education and Training Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, CAD Technology, or a related field; equivalent applicable experience may also be considered. Program-specific processes and customer requirements will be taught as part of the position. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. The position requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. The position requires the ability to read and review detailed information displayed on computer screens and in technical documents. The position requires the ability to communicate professionally in person, by telephone and electronically. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
