CAD Design Engineer - Cabinets & Millwork Bring designs to life. Build what top brands see on the floor.

Nicholasville, KY (On-site - this is not a remote position)

In this role, you won't just draft drawings—you'll help transform concepts into high-quality cabinetry and retail displays seen by customers nationwide. What You'll Do Create high-precision CAD drawings for cabinets and retail fixtures based on customer specifications Develop production-ready designs including machining, assembly, and installation drawings Produce photorealistic renderings to bring concepts to life for client approval Collaborate with customers, production, and project teams to ensure seamless execution Support new product development, including bills of materials and design optimization Maintain and continuously improve drawing files and documentation What You Bring 5+ years of experience in cabinet manufacturing or store fixtures Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar platforms Strong understanding of cabinet construction and manufacturing processes Ability to interpret complex drawings and translate concepts into detailed designs Experience (or willingness to learn): CNC programming / machining fundamentals Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW for rendering Wood and metal fabrication techniques Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach What Sets You Apart You take ownership and move with urgency You're solution-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment You enjoy working cross-functionally—from customers to production teams You're constantly looking to improve designs, processes, and outcomes How You'll Work Report directly to the Plant Manager and Owners Partner closely with Project Managers and Production Leaders Engage with customers to develop innovative, manufacturable solutions Occasionally collaborate with vendors and external partners What You'll Get A hands-on, in-person role (Monday-Thursday 07:30am-6pm) where your designs go from screen to shop floor Competitive benefits package, including: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Profit sharing tied to company performance A collaborative, growth-focused environment The chance to contribute to high-visibility retail projects Career development as the company continues to scale Ready to design something that actually gets built?
