Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative CAD/CAM Designer to join our dynamic dental laboratory team. In this role, you will leverage advanced computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to create precise dental prosthetics and restorations. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by designing and fabricating custom prosthetic solutions, including full arch dental restorations, removable prosthodontics, and implant-supported prostheses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical proficiency with artistic craftsmanship in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in dental care. Responsibilities Utilize CAD software to develop detailed digital models of dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported prostheses. Operate CAM equipment to accurately mill or 3D print dental components from various materials such as ceramics and resins. Collaborate closely with dentists and dental technicians to interpret clinical data, impressions, and medical records for precise design specifications. Ensure all designs meet industry standards for fit, function, aesthetics, and durability while adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain meticulous documentation of design processes, modifications, and fabrication steps in compliance with HIPAA and medical records regulations. Stay current with advancements in digital design for dental prosthetics, laboratory techniques, and CAD/CAM software updates. Conduct quality control checks on finished products using precision tools like micrometers to guarantee optimal fit and finish. Qualifications Proven experience in dental office settings or laboratories with a focus on dental fabrication and digital design. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software platforms used for dental prosthetic design and manufacturing. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, removable prosthodontics, implantology, and complete denture fabrication. Familiarity with laboratory techniques involving ceramics, prosthesis finishing, and custom prosthetic fabrication processes. Ability to interpret medical imaging data and understand complex medical terminology related to prosthodontics and implantology. Experience working with EMR systems for accurate medical documentation and patient assessment records. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, HIPAA compliance, and laboratory safety standards. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
