Solidworks Designer

Every day we develop new products for the robotics industry and the successful candidate will bring them from concept through the prototype phase to production. Each day is different than the previous as customers bring new challenges to us. The successful candidate is proficient at Solidworks to design mechanical parts and mechanisms, create drawings, build assemblies and generate a BOM. Experience working in a machine shop and a technical high school background are extremely valuable. You will be tasked with proving your designs by creating mock ups using 3D printers, lasers and manual turning and milling machines. This position is for a candidate who has a hands on approach to getting things accomplished. We are a small company and you will have a prominent role in its operation. You will work side by side with the sales and operations teams to help establish product costs and provide delivery dates.

Required skills include:

Proficient with Solidworks and Draftsight Expert in the use of pneumatic components including valves, actuators and plumbing. Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel Understands manufacturing techniques Create drawings to ANSI standards MS Office products such as Word, Excel Strong mechanical aptitude Detail oriented
