The Bridges and Structures Practice is seeking amotivated CAD Technician Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience supporting the design and construction of transportation structures - including bridges, retaining walls, and more. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, using industry-leading tools and software to help bring real-world infrastructure projects to life. This six-month-long internship will be located in our Salem, OR office.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:

Assist in the production of CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for transportation structures such as reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and steel designs Support the development of construction documents by incorporating engineering markups with guidance from senior staff Use design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer to create and modify drawings Learn and apply industry standards (e.g., AASHTO) under the direction of licensed engineers Help maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company and project-specific drafting standards Collaborate with team members using file-sharing platforms such as ProjectWise Participate in quality checks and assist with updates to drawings and quantities as projects evolve What You...
