Job Description

Nikel Precision is a machine shop that regularly works with exotic aerospace and medical-related alloys and materials using modern, state-of-the-art CNC machine tools. Our customers are in diverse industries including Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Medical, Pump and Seal, as well as many others. Description The SolidWorks Designer will perform a variety of design and drafting activities, including preparing and updating drawings for projects, creating assembly and manufacturing drawings, and establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management. Key Responsibilities Interpret customer-supplied drawings and Process Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Develop layouts with Design for Assembly in mind using SolidWorks Create detailed drawings using SolidWorks Recommend modifications for design improvements and simplification Revise models as requested Adhere to quality system requirements and record control procedures Industry specification interpretation Requirements, Competencies, and Skills Associate degree or equivalent in a technical curriculum 3-5+ years of experience utilizing CAD software; SolidWorks preferred Previous experience in drafting and manufacturing Experience in the medical device or manufacturing industry, or a related field governed by regulatory compliance Proficiency in reading blueprints and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to work under deadlines Familiarity with
ISO 9001
requirements preferred Proficiency with basic math and geometry
