Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Senior CAD Drafter Position Overview A mission-driven organization is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Drafter to support facility engineering, construction, and ongoing operations within a large-scale federal environment. This position is responsible for producing and maintaining highly accurate technical drawings, facility plans, 3D models, and Building Information Models using AutoCAD, Revit, and related engineering applications. The role combines advanced drafting with field verification, document management, and support of maintenance, repair, and construction projects across multiple facilities. What You'll Do Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, construction documents, and 3D models for complex facility projects. Interpret existing CAD files and verify facility measurements in the field. Develop and update Building Information Models (BIM) using Revit and other engineering software. Maintain master facility drawings, including floorplans, models, and associated engineering disciplines. Incorporate as-built and new construction changes into master site drawings. Convert historic facility drawings into electronic formats and maintain organized digital archives. Prepare drawings for maintenance, repair, and construction projects. Manage facility documentation and drawing retrieval for three campuses. Support permit documentation and help ensure construction documents meet technical requirements. Communicate requested site and facility information to approved project stakeholders. Provide guidance to junior drafters and support larger or more complex drafting assignments as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Formal computer-aided design training, an associate degree in civil engineering technology, related college coursework, or equivalent qualifying experience. Strong experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents. Knowledge of facility construction, maintenance, repair methods, and drafting standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on complex assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid Missouri or Illinois driver's license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Work Environment The position is primarily office-based but may require field verification and work in facility or outdoor environments. Candidates should be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
