With our in-house design staff and metal fabrication shop, we specialize in the construction of custom, turnkey facilities for customers of all sizes—including hospitals, corporate offices, hotels, casinos, and correctional facilities. ________________________________________ Job Summary We're hiring an AutoCAD Drafter / Submittal Designer to create detailed submittal (approval) drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment and conveyor systems. This role supports the customer approval process prior to fabrication, ensuring drawings meet project requirements, field dimensions, and applicable standards. This position is ideal for someone who is creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating in a team environment with design, project, and shop personnel. ________________________________________ What Makes This Role Different You're involved early: Your drawings drive the approval process and set the foundation for successful fabrication and installation.
Real-world coordination:
You'll work with construction blueprints and specifications and ensure designs fit real field conditions. Custom work, not cookie-cutter: Each job is unique—different sites, layouts, and equipment packages.
In-house collaboration:
Work closely with our internal design team and fabrication shop to ensure drawings are practical and buildable.

Expand your knowledge of foodservice equipment, construction coordination, and fabrication constraints. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Create detailed submittal/approval drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment and conveyors Work collaboratively in a team environment Ensure customer specifications and project requirements are met Confirm overall dimensions for fit and function in field locations Ensure parts and assemblies can be produced with tooling used in the manufacturing environment Organize, complete, and maintain project files and documentation for production ________________________________________ Compliance & Standards Ensure drawings meet customer requirements and specifications Support compliance with relevant health department rules and regulations ________________________________________ Required Qualifications Proficiency using AutoCAD to read and develop technical drawings Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and specifications ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of Autodesk AutoCAD experience; Revit and/or Inventor is a plus Knowledge or experience with sheet metal fabrication and welding General knowledge of construction trades, including electrical and plumbing coordination Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word) Relevant technical education (certificate, associate degree, or comparable coursework) may substitute for experience. ________________________________________ Workplace Standards Drug-Free Workplace Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)
