Position Overview We are seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support the design and execution of stainless steel storage tank and pressure vessel projects built in accordance with ASME, API-650, API-620, and general engineering practices. This position serves as the primary liaison between Sales, Project Management, Design Engineering, and CAD, ensuring accurate and timely development of engineering calculations and fabrication drawings from initial sales handoff through final customer approval. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and experience coordinating engineering workflows in a fabrication environment. Gilbert Industries is a family-owned custom tank and vessel fabricator in Sparta, MO, building shop and field fabricated tanks since 2001. This position reports to the Engineering Director. It is office-based, with regular interaction with engineering, project management, and production, plus occasional trips to the shop floor to support fabrication or resolve design questions. Key Responsibilities Review sales documentation including quotes, estimates, and customer specifications for completeness and clarity Identify missing or conflicting information and coordinate with Project Managers and Sales to resolve gaps Prepare and distribute complete project input packages to Design Engineers for required calculations Provide design calculations, specifications, and clarifications to CAD Designers for drawing development Review CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements Mark up drawings with required corrections and coordinate revisions with CAD Designers Submit drawings to Design Engineers for design review and manage revision cycles until approval Coordinate customer drawing review through the Project Manager and manage all resulting revisions Maintain drawing revision control and documentation consistency throughout the project lifecycle Communicate status, risks, and schedule impacts to Project Management as needed Required Qualifications Experience in tank and pressure vessel fabrication or related heavy industrial manufacturing Ability to read and understand engineering calculations and fabrication drawings CAD experience at the review and markup level Strong attention to detail and document control discipline Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Degree in engineering, engineering technology, mechanical design, or a related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel codes and
