Job Description
Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Civil CAD Technician / Civil CAD Designer for a growing engineering and infrastructure-focused organization supporting renewable energy, utility, and land development projects. This is a direct-hire, onsite opportunity in Bethel, NC , with potential flexibility to work from the Concord/Charlotte office . This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while collaborating with engineering and construction teams in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Civil CAD Technician / Civil CAD Designer will support the development of civil engineering plans and construction documents for utility, renewable energy, and land development projects. This individual will utilize Civil 3D and AutoCAD to prepare, revise, and maintain accurate design drawings while working closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and thrives in a collaborative project environment with multiple active deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, revise, and maintain civil engineering drawings and construction plans using Civil 3D and AutoCAD Support site development, utility, renewable energy, and land development projects from design through construction Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment Develop plan sets, grading plans, utility layouts, and supporting project documentation Review drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards Assist with project deadlines, design revisions, and ongoing technical drafting support across multiple projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related civil design software Experience supporting site development, utility infrastructure, renewable energy, or land development projects Ability to prepare and revise construction drawings, plans, and technical documentation Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and collaboration skills within engineering and project teams
