 $27.04 - $31.37 Job Description As a CAD Technician, you'll play a hands‑on role in turning innovative ideas into precision‑engineered reality. Supporting the Engineering team, you'll create high‑impact 2D and 3D mechanical designs that drive projects from concept to prototype. Using advanced CAD tools, you'll interpret technical specifications, refine models, and ensure every drawing meets the highest standards of accuracy and quality. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to review and revise designs, perform pre‑prototype testing on 3D models, and keep projects on track within timelines and budgets. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on detail, problem‑solving, and teamwork—and who enjoys working on complex electromechanical systems from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Creating detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software Making corrections or revisions to the 2D or 3D models as requested Keeping up to date with the latest developments and technologies in the CAD process Running tests on 3D models before prototyping Designing complex layouts as per the specifications provided Coordinating with other team members to obtain relevant information for drawings Adhering to the timelines and budget while creating designs Reviewing design concepts and making recommendations Maintaining a record of all mechanical designs in the database, updating and maintaining design documentations Providing an approximate project completion timeline, coordinating with engineering to work on various project designs
Required Education, Experience & Skills Education:
Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years preferred in a CAD Designer/Operator role
Certificates:
SolidWorks certification
Field of Expertise:
Electromechanical systems
Skills:
Proficiency with 3D CAD software and modeling tools Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Effective time management and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Detail‑oriented, motivated, and able to meet strict deadlines Ability to provide excellent customer service
