FIRE ALARM
Designer AutoCAD DRAFTER
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Protection Design AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in fire alarm system design, AutoCAD drafting, and familiarity with relevant codes such as NFPA, UBC, and UFC. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection engineering principles and the ability to interpret project specifications and drawings accurately. Candidates must have prior experience working on fire alarm projects, including system layout, code compliance, and drafting standards. Attention to detail and professionalism in producing precise, error-free work are essential.Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales and project management teams to develop fire alarm system designs that meet project requirements and code standards. Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for fire alarm, ARC, CCTV, and security systems based on project specifications. Ensure all drawings adhere to current codes such as NFPA, UBC, UFC, and company drafting procedures. Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of all drafted drawings before submission. Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for system components. Interpret project specifications and translate them into clear, precise drawings. Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, codes, and technological advancements related to fire protection systems. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills. Promote a collaborative team environment to ensure project success. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system design and AutoCAD drafting within a professional setting. Proficiency in interpreting fire protection codes such asNFPA 72, NFPA
70, UBC, and UFC. Experience working with fire alarm system layouts, schematics, and construction documents. Familiarity with Mircom product lines is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and neat work. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Knowledge of industry standards for drafting procedures and documentation.Compensation:
