Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AutoCAD Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with Designers and Account Managers to bring initial project concepts to life, transforming approved designs into precise, detailed models and construction drawings. These drawings will play a vital role in our fabrication process, ensuring high-quality displays are built to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D (solids) and 2D (linework) drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD, turning design concepts into detailed models and construction-ready drawings. Work closely with Designers and Account Managers to conceptualize and refine project ideas and designs. Collaborate with the Lead Builder to update drawings with part numbers and generate comprehensive setup instructions. Provide detailed electrical layouts as needed, working with the Sales AM for each project or show. Ensure setup instructions are clear and complete for onsite installers to facilitate smooth project setup. Program CNC routers to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication of cabinetry and display components.
Requirements:
2-3 years minimum related work experience in commercial millwork and casework fields. Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for 3D (solids) and 2D (linework) drawing creation. Strong knowledge of cabinetry, carpentry, and woodworking techniques. Experience programming CNC routers for precision fabrication. Experience working on trade show projects and installations. Knowledge of EnRoute software for CNC machine programming. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret design specifications. Experience working with construction drawings and fabrication processes. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to create comprehensive, easy-to-understand setup instructions for installation teams.
