Job Description
At Willbanks Design, we design custom cabinetry for clients who have decided their space deserves more than the ordinary. Every project is a collaboration built around how people live and the spaces they will gather in for years to come. Our showroom is in Summerlin, and our work spans kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and every space in between where design and daily life meet. The Role This role is the foundation behind every client presentation we deliver. You will work directly with our design team to translate field measurements and client direction into accurate, polished cabinet layouts, elevations, and presentation ready designs. The expectation here is precision, consistency, and speed. Designs need to be right the first time, ready before every appointment, and turned around without delay. The drafter who thrives here take ownership of their output, catch errors before anyone else does, and treat every file as if their name is on it because it is. Responsibilities From field notes to finished presentation, you own the drafting side of every project.
That includes:
- Developing complete cabinetry designs in 2020/Flex from field measurements, floor plans, and designer direction
- Producing accurate layouts, elevations, and presentation-ready drawings that reflect client requirements and company specifications
- Completing revisions promptly and accurately following presentation feedback, client changes, or order corrections
- Reviewing all designs against field measurements, floor plans, and order specifications before submission errors caught here do not become problems in the field
- Maintaining organized and current digital and physical project files at every stage, accessible and up to date for the design team
- Coordinating with designers on project timelines, revision priorities, and presentation deadlines
- Supporting order preparation by ensuring files are complete, accurate, and order-ready before submission to vendors
- Adapting quickly to updated specs, new product lines, software changes, and evolving workflow requirements
- Assisting with the showroom, site visits, or filling in for designers as needed.
- Other duties as assigned What We Are Looking For This role belongs to someone who holds themselves to a high standard on accuracy, organization, and follow-through not just when someone is watching, but consistently.
- Proficiency in 2020/Flex Design software. This is a requirement, not a preference
- 2+ years producing cabinetry, millwork, or interior design drawings in a professional setting
- Detail-oriented with a low tolerance for your own errors. You review your work before submitting it and you catch things others miss
- Organized and reliable. You manage multiple active files simultaneously without losing track of revision status, deadlines, or pending changes
- Comfortable working within an established workflow and following process without exception
- Strong written communication for coordinating with designers and flagging issues clearly and promptly
- Comfortable with technology including PC, Microsoft Office, cloud-based file management, and CRM documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check.
Preferred:
- Experience with custom cabinetry, kitchen and bath design, or a residential design environment
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
