Temp to Hire Manpower is seeking a skilled Furniture Mechanical Drafter/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting software and possess mechanical knowledge to support the design process. Pay:
$25- 30/hr. Based on Experience
Duties:
- Create detailed drawings using CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or MicroStation
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop and modify mechanical designs
- Utilize FEA tools to analyze and optimize designs
- Perform technical writing for design documentation
- Apply GD&T principles to drawings
- Conduct design reviews and make necessary revisions
Experience:
- The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Degree, or related fields / equivalent experience
- Proficiency in drafting software like NavisWorks, Inventor, SolidWorks, or MicroStation
- Knowledge and experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Expreience is AutoCAD is a plus
- CNC programming and operation experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge to interpret and create technical drawings
- Familiarity with FEA tools for design analysis
- Strong proficiency with Micorsoft and Adobe software platforms
- Technical writing skills for documentation purposes
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for accurate drawings
- Past experience in the lumber or funirutre industry is a plus
- Post processing experience
