Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Drafter assists the engineering team by creating and updating cable drawings and wiring diagrams.
Requirements:
Create and revise simple cable drawings and wiring diagrams using CAD software, preferably Autodesk inventor and AutoCAD. Support engineers in preparing and maintaining documentation for cable assemblies. Update existing drawings based on marked-up prints or engineering input. Help organize and archive design files and revisions according to company procedures. Learn and follow drafting standards and engineering best practices. Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school coursework or certification in drafting or CAD preferred. Basic knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 2D/3D CAD software. Excellent Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Some familiarity with wiring components, connectors, or cable layouts is a plus. Familiar with wiring 38999 or equivalent connectors. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
