This position requires the need to communicate and coordinate effectively with design engineers and managers for preparation of high-quality drawings on time and within budget. Job Description This position will entail civil site and roadway drafting responsibilities using AutoCAD Civil3D. Responsibilities will include preparation of basic geometric design and engineering calculations such as typical sections, roadway alignment, roadway profile, cross-section, grading plan, details and calculation of quantity take-offs, such as length, areas and volumes for various elements of the plan. The candidate will be working on the design and preparation of construction documents for various public works facilities including local, state, and federal agencies. Additional duties may be assigned by the department manager. Previous experience with municipal projects a plus.
