We are seeking a detail-oriented, autonomous CAD Drafter (Level I-III) to support our design team and Document Control operations. In this role, you will execute routine and specialized drafting tasks, incorporate markup revisions from discipline designers, and process markups from Management of Change (MOC) workflows. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary project environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining drafting accuracy across schematic and mechanical documentation for continuous industrial operations.
Execute redline incorporations provided by designers in AutoCAD, including schematic and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) generated through MOC workflows.
Drafting Execution:
Generate project deliverables including schematics, isometrics, P&IDs, building and equipment layouts, cable tray and pipe routings, piping schedules, installation details, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Environment Configuration:
Set up and maintain standard CAD workspace environments, including block libraries, layer standards, and drawing templates.
Standards Adherence:
Produce precise project documentation in strict compliance with established industrial engineering standards, drafting practices, and operating unit specifications.
Site Inspections & Operations:
Perform field walkdowns as required to verify physical conditions while adhering strictly to site safety protocols within operating plant settings.
Multidisciplinary Coordination:
Collaborate directly with Mechanical and Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) designers, discipline engineers, and contractor personnel to facilitate seamless project execution.
Required Qualifications Experience:
1 to 5+ years of practical computer-aided drafting experience in a dynamic project environment. Candidates possessing advanced qualifications aligning with a Drafter III classification are highly encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
Practical proficiency in AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Process & Instrumentation symbology.
Software Competency:
Proficiency with standard productivity tools, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Communication & Collaboration:
Demonstrated ability to work independently with general oversight while engaging effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary project team. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. Prior experience executing drafting workflows within a refining, petrochemical, or continuous process industrial environment. Familiarity with enterprise software systems, including SAP and Falcon document management applications.
