• Must-Have RequirementsHands-on CAD drafting experience with Shell and Tube Heat ExchangersExperience creating shop-ready fabrication drawingsWorking knowledge of ASME Code and TEMA StandardsProficiency using AutoCAD for 2D mechanical draftingExperience supporting manufacturing and shop fabrication environmentsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced engineering and fabrication environmentMust be able to comply with all company safety policiesMarijuana card holders are not eligible for this safety-sensitive positionCAD Drafter•Heat Exchanger / Pressure Vessel•Position SummaryOur Engineering Department is urgently seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with experience supporting the fabrication of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, or similar industrial equipment.

This role is responsible for producing accurate, code-compliant 2D fabrication drawings that directly support manufacturing and shop operations. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD drafting skills, knowledge of ASME and TEMA requirements, and experience working closely with fabrication teams in a manufacturing environment. • Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed 2D fabrication drawings for shell and tube heat exchangersProduce shop-ready drawings to support manufacturing and fabrication teamsComplete Code Data Reports for each exchangerPerform basic design work for selected non-code componentsFinalize tube layout designs including:

Tie rodsSeal barsDummy tubeVerify drawings comply with:

ASME CodeTEMA StandardsCustomer specificationsInternal engineering standardsSupport shop personnel by resolving drawing and fabrication questionsRevise and update drawings as needed throughout productionOccasionally enter fabrication areas while wearing required PPEMaintain drafting accuracy, organization, and revision controlCAD Drafter

• Additional QualificationsHigh School Diploma requiredTechnical or trade school drafting training strongly preferredCollege coursework in CAD, engineering, drafting, or mathematics is a plusExperience in pressure vessel, exchanger, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with fabrication processes and shop workflow preferredComfortable working in a safety-sensitive industrial environment
