Job Description

Position Overview As an Entry-Level Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team by utilizing your CAD and drafting skills to develop detailed models and drawings. This position offers the opportunity to grow and learn within a collaborative environment, with the potential for career advancement. Essential Functions Utilize CAD skills to create accurate models and drawings efficiently. Collaborate with team members across different departments. Apply knowledge of manufacturing techniques to develop cost-effective designs and production drawings for new products. Review and check drawings for accuracy before release. Distribute new and revised drawings as necessary. Reverse engineer existing components or products to create detailed drawings. Assist in assembling and evaluating prototype parts and assemblies. Create clear installation and assembly instructions. Monitor the progress of assigned projects and provide updates as needed. Maintain proper file management practices for the secure storage of engineering documents. Provide assistance to coworkers with CAD-related issues. Prepare DXF and STP files for manufacturing. Modify drawings to meet the needs of various manufacturing departments.
Essential Job Requirements/Skills Education :
Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Design or Technology.
Experience :
Minimum of one year experience in drafting and design. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills :
Proficient in Autodesk CAD products and MS Office. Familiarity with Inventor, preferred.
Additional Skills :
Strong attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring equipment. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Good math and communication skills. Why Join Us? Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Do you have experience reviewing drawings for accuracy before release? Are you familiar with forming sheet metal? How comfortable are you creating detailed models and drawings using Inventor?
