Job Description
CAD Coordinator - Commercial HVAC Contractor Position Overview A leading Commercial HVAC Contractor is seeking an experienced CAD Coordinator with strong knowledge of HVAC piping and ductwork coordination systems. This role plays a critical part in the overall construction coordination process, ensuring our HVAC layouts are fully constructible and clash‑free across all trades. What You'll Do Produce detailed, constructable HVAC drawings based on project schematic designs Use Autodesk Fabrication CAD Mep and Navisworks Manage to model HVAC systems Coordinate HVAC layouts with electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and other trades Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts to ensure a smooth installation process Organize, manage, and maintain project files as multiple projects run simultaneously Required Skills & Experience Proficiency with Autodesk software , especially Fabrication CAD Mep and Navisworks Strong understanding of HVAC piping and ductwork systems Experience with Windows Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Construction experience—particularly in HVAC—is highly valuable Ability to manage information, maintain organized project files, and work across multiple active projects Ideal Candidate Traits Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑trade coordination environment Able to communicate effectively with project managers, field teams, and other trades Compensation Pay is based on experience level. Competitive hourly rate or salary will be determined according to skill set, industry experience, and proficiency with Autodesk Fabrication CAD Mep and Navisworks.
