No cost health insurance Dental and vision insurance Employee Assistance Program Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance and life insurance Quarterly performance bonuses PTO and 8 paid holidays 401(k) match & 401(k) Roth and Profit Sharing Student loan repayment and tuition reimbursement Company paid professional society memberships & professional licensure registration fees Employee referral program The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or be willing to learn: Develop structural Revit models and drawing sets from architectural backgrounds and models with minimal markup — foundation plans, framing plans, sections, details, and general notes Lay out gravity framing systems (joist/beam/girder/column spacing, bearing conditions, deck spans) using sound rough-proportioning judgment, with member sizing and final design performed by the project engineer Select and adapt appropriate typical details and basic connections (bearing, shear, base plates, embeds, ledgers) from company standards and industry references, and recognize where a project-specific detail is needed Recognize which structural systems are applicable to a given project type — steel, cast-in-place and precast concrete, masonry, cold-formed and conventional wood framing — and set up plans accordingly Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, and identify coordination conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues early Support design-phase clash detection and BIM/Revit coordination workflows across multidisciplinary models Participate in model-based design reviews, including constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews Maintain drawing sets through design revisions, permit comments, and construction-phase changes (RFIs, as-builts) Organize and coordinate technical documents consistent with company BIM/Revit and drawing standards, and perform quality control checks on your own work before engineer review This opportunity requires: Education Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Drafting & Design Technology, or related field — or equivalent experience in structural Revit/BIM production
  • 3+ years of structural drafting/design experience preferred, with a portfolio or work samples demonstrating structural plan and detail development
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure required; AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus
  • Familiarity with AISC, ACI, and TMS detailing conventions a plus
  • Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or Bluebeam a plus
