Drafter - Custom Metal Fabrication Flow Metal Fabrication LLC South Salt Lake, UT Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Qualifications Metal fabrication Driver's License Measuring instruments Attention to detail Site surveys Full Job Description Overview Flow Metal Fabrication is seeking a full-time CAD drafter with minimum 1 year experience. We are a growing custom metal fabrication company looking for a full-time Drafter to join our team. This position combines field work with office drafting. You'll visit job sites to take precise measurements of stairways, railings, and other custom steel projects, then create detailed shop drawings that our fabrication team will build from. At Flow Metal Fabrication we build architectural metal work including custom stairs, railing, planter boxes, kitchen hoods, fire pits, gates, mirrors, shelving, fireplace wraps, applying patina etc. We are a crew of 5 looking to grow! Responsibilities Visit residential job sites to take accurate field measurements Create fabrication drawings using AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) Detail stairs, guardrails, handrails, gates, and miscellaneous steel Coordinate with project managers and shop foremen Ensure drawings are accurate before fabrication begins Revise drawings as needed Help solve fabrication and installation challenges Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software Ability to read architectural and structural plans Strong measuring skills and attention to detail Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes is preferred Experience with stairs and railings is a major plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently Additional Information Hours of operation Monday-Thursday 7am to 5:30pm Paid 6 major holidays PTO after 90 days of employment Located in
