MATRIX is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter / Designer to support engineering and project teams by reviewing, revising, and coordinating subcontractor design deliverables. This role is critical in ensuring design accuracy, consistency with project standards, and alignment with project requirements across hydro-related infrastructure projects. This is a remote position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES
Review subcontractor design drawings and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and standards Revise and update drawings based on internal feedback, engineering markups, and field conditions Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve design discrepancies and conflicts Maintain organized drawing sets and version control throughout the project lifecycle Prepare andmodifydetailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and schematics Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines Support project teams with as-built drawings and documentation upon project completion Assistin developing drafting standards and improving workflows where needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
ProficiencyinAutoCAD,Bluebeam, andRevit Strong experience reviewing and revising subcontractor or third-party design documents Solid understanding of drafting principles, construction drawings, and design coordination Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
