Full-Time About theRole:
Coastal Bend Lots is seeking a CAD Designer to support master planning, subdivision plat preparation, and site layout design for residential and commercial developments. This position will play a key role in translating development concepts into accurate, buildable plats and site plans.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare subdivision plats for residential and commercial developments
- Assist with master planning and overall site layout design
- Develop site plans and lot layouts
- Close survey boundaries using legal descriptions and survey data
- Draft and revise plats and related deliverables
- Work with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy
- Manage and maintain GIS data layers
- Generate maps and exhibits using GIS software
- Assist with construction and development drawings as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
- Experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS software
- Strong understanding of platting and land development principles
- Experience producing subdivision plats
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions, survey data, and engineering plans
- Experience with site layout and master planning concepts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with local jurisdiction platting standards
- Experience with Civil 3D
- Degree or certification in GIS, Drafting, Surveying, or related field
