Job Description
Residential Designer — CAD & Renderings Confidential Fort Worth, TX Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Qualifications 3D modeling software Residential interior design project Interior layout drawings Remodeling 3D modeling for architectural design Full Job Description Stanton & Co. We are a full-service residential remodeling company based in Fort Worth. We have been at it since 2007. We do around $7M a year, we hold an A+ rating with the BBB, and Fort Worth Magazine just named us the Best Remodeling Company in Fort Worth. Our Design Center sits on Camp Bowie. Almost every job we take on is in a home the customer is still living in. Tearing apart someone's kitchen or bathroom while they are cooking dinner and getting kids ready for school takes a different level of care than new construction. That is a big part of why our clients keep calling us back and referring their friends. We are growing, and this seat is central to how we deliver on the standard we have built. The Role You own the drawings, start to finish. You will go into our clients' homes, measure the space yourself, sit down with the homeowners to understand what they are after, and turn that into a design we can sell and our field team can actually build. This is not a back-room drafting position. You will be in front of people. You will work with our designer showroom, estimating, and the field team, and stay part of the conversation from first visit through final walk-through.
What you will create:
Field-measuring existing homes accurately Existing and proposed floor plans Elevations and detailed drawings that estimating and the field team can build from Realistic 3D renderings that reflect the actual selections Working with homeowners on layouts, design ideas, and material selections Revising drawings as projects move through design and sales Coordinating with sales, estimating, and construction throughout the project Keeping drawing files organized and accessible by project What You Are Walking Into We are at an inflection point. Our design function is growing to match our project volume. We do not have a template library or a full symbol set yet. That is not a problem we are hiding — it is an opportunity we are handing to the right person. You will be the one who defines how we do this. Not inheriting somebody else's system. Building the one that fits how we work, how our clients decide, and how our field team builds. That is a rare seat. If that sounds like a headache, this probably is not your job. If it sounds like a chance to build something and be recognized for it, we would like to talk. What We Are Looking For You do not need the perfect resume. You do need to be able to do the work. Strong residential CAD and 3D skills. Chief Architect preferred, but SketchUp, 2020 Design, or another solid residential platform will be considered Comfortable field-measuring an existing home and turning those measurements into an accurate drawing Real space-planning instincts, not just software fluency Renderings that look like the actual room, not a generic showroom Comfortable using AI rendering tools and clear on their limits Comfortable across the table from a homeowner Organized, accurate, and fast — someone who can lay out a kitchen in a morning, not a week Formal design education is a plus. Demonstrated ability matters more. Kitchen and bath, cabinet design, custom home, interior design, or remodeling backgrounds all translate. We care much more about what you can show us than where you went to school. Compensation and Benefits $70,000-$75,000 depending on experience Room to grow — this seat is not capped. Strong performers whose work contributes directly to project revenue have real upside as we scale Paid time off Paid holidays Full-time, Monday through Friday, in-office Company-provided design software and tools How to Apply Send your resume and examples of your work. We want more than beautiful renderings. Show us floor plans, elevations, and layouts that demonstrate how you actually work. Drawings that got built are best. Finalists will spend a paid half-day with us. You will measure a real space, receive a client design brief, and draw it. We pay for your time because we respect it, and because we want to see how you work before we ask you to commit and before we commit to you.Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:
Paid time off Application Question(s): 1. What residential design/CAD software do you use, and how long have you used it? Please list the programs you can work in comfortably and your level of experience with each. 2. Have you personally field-measured an existing home and created drawings from your own measurements? If yes, briefly describe the type of projects you have measured and drawn. 3. You measure an average existing kitchen in the morning. We want to understand how you work. 4. Please provide examples of your work. Floor plans, elevations, layouts, and renderings. Work that was actually built is especially helpful. 5.
