POSITION SUMMARY
- Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Senior Drawing Checker to lead the review and release of engineering drawings and MBD deliverables.

This individual will also drive continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and release processes.- This position is onsite at our Space Station Development Facility (SSDF) in Webster, Texas.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Review engineering drawings and MBD datasets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASME Y14 and internal standards.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Education & Experience
- + 10+ years creating and checking manufacturing‑ready engineering drawings to
ASME Y14
standards. + 10+ years of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD experience producing models, assemblies, and drawings. + Technical degree or CAD certification preferred (required if under 15 years of experience). + Expert understanding of drawing deliverables, units, document properties, title blocks, and release documentation. + Strong command of GD&T application and interpretation. + Proven ability to work effectively in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments. + Demonstrated judgment and proactive problem‑solving skills. + Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting tight deadlines. + Experience mentoring designers or engineers on drafting and documentation best practices. + Familiarity with configuration management and release workflows. + Ability to communicate clearly with cross‑functional engineering teams. + Experience improving drafting standards, templates, or documentation processes.- Core Skills

- Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
- Requirements
- + Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. + Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised. + Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. + Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.
- Physical Requirements
- + Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) + May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
