CAD Technician

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to create technical drawings and plans to support the Sales and Production Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills and ensure all projects are conducted to a high standard which meets or exceeds client requirements. Sports Venue Padding is a leading manufacturer of sports protective padding for stadiums, arenas, schools, fields, parks, and municipalities. Our products and services include, outfield wall padding, indoor gymnasium padding, landing floor mats, banners, tarps, seat covers, and digitally printed sponsorship advertising/team logos on vinyl and vinyl wrapped foam padding. Our core competency is in the development of padded solutions for difficult to cover areas.

www.svpadding.com Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing conceptual and schematic AutoCAD drawings based on design briefs and sketches Review incoming project drawings and prepare take-offs for the sales team Help prepare any necessary 3D models for presentations and client reviews Review and revise drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, or updated project specifications. Prepare Production drawings for manufacturing of our projects Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) Create documentation to assist in the installation, and implementation of the product Maintain organized drawing files and documentation Set up, operate, and program computer-controlled machinery (CNC router, foam cutting machine) Perform site visits and operate survey instruments and devices Work closely with engineering on design improvements Update drawings for revisions and production changes Qualifications Associate's degree or certification in Drafting, Design, or 4 years of related experience Proficiency in AutoCAD software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read and interpret technical documents Understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or construction techniques (preferred) Good communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with various measuring instrumentation 2+ years drafting experience (preferred) Basic 2D CAD knowledge (AutoCAD or similar) Willingness to learn and take direction

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
