Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an entry-level CAD Designer 1 to join our Engineering team in Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow their career in mechanical design and product development. You will work closely with engineers to transform HVAC system concepts into detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials that support manufacturing and production. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working on new product development and engineering change projects in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Create accurate 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD . Develop piece part and assembly drawings that meet engineering and manufacturing standards. Produce complete Bills of Materials (BOMs), including material quantities, weights, and specifications. Incorporate all required dimensions and views necessary for manufacturing. Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through the engineering task system. Collaborate with engineers and participate in project planning meetings. Support new product development from concept through production launch. Update and maintain engineering documentation for existing products. Manage assigned projects with guidance and oversight as experience grows. Continuously learn engineering design standards, processes, and best practices. Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. 0-2 years of CAD or mechanical design experience. Experience with Autodesk Inventor , AutoCAD, or similar 2D/3D CAD software. Basic understanding of mechanical drafting and design principles. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing technical training. Basic prototyping experience is a plus. Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities. Ability to stand and walk during plant visits. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Must follow all applicable safety procedures while in manufacturing environments. Why Join Us?
