Job Description

We're seeking a Designer/Drafter to join our team in Austin or San Antonio, Texas. You'll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving today's challenges. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design. While working in this role, you will contribute to project delivery through high-quality modelling, technical design support, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, while maintaining Jacobs' standards for quality, safety, and innovation while supporting the delivery of civil design and modelling services on infrastructure projects. This position emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and teamwork.   • Associate's Degree or technical drafting/designing.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience working with site civil projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Deliver accurate 3D civil models and design outputs for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure
  • Support design development, including preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Perform design checks and contribute to review/assurance activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions
  • Support project delivery to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations
  • Coordinate with drafting and modelling teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Assist in preparing quantities and cost-related inputs
  • Ensure compliance with Jacobs QA processes and standards
  • Contribute to a strong safety and inclusion culture Ideally, you'll also have:
