Morning stand-up clarifies priorities across engineering, manufacturing, and sales. You open SolidWorks or Inventor to evolve a new API-compliant valve while refining a legacy assembly for manufacturability and cost. Between design iterations, you generate precise 3D models, detail 2D layouts, and a clean general assembly that downstream teams can act on immediately. By midday, you build a complete bill of materials and push an engineering change through the ECR/ECN process. After lunch, you partner with peers outside engineering to confirm interface requirements, consider testing needs, and validate that your drafting aligns with

ASME Y14.

As the day wraps, you update the ERP record, share notes in Microsoft Office, and confirm that safety and quality gates are met for handoff to production. What you will do Design new API valves and modernize existing, legacy configurations Produce accurate 3D models, 2D detail drawings, and general assembly documentation Create and maintain comprehensive BOMs aligned to ERP structures Administer and issue ECRs/ECNs to control revisions and traceability Collaborate across departments to resolve requirements, interfaces, and timelines Balance performance with cost, manufacturability, and assembly efficiency Work safely and advocate safe practices throughout the design cycle What you bring Two-year technical degree or comparable training in mechanical design or drafting Solid modeling proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360 Working knowledge of
