Job Description
We are currently looking for a CAD Designer to join our growing distribution team located in The Woodlands, Texas to provide design on various utility projects.
ResponsibilitiesPreparation of construction plans using a combination of MicroStation and AutoCADAbility to perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilitiesConduct or coordinate detailed phases of technical workCoordinate with other drafters, technicians, and engineers to assist in assignmentsBasic understanding of ordinance and laws governing distribution.
Problem solve to complete project tasks or designsPrepare and coordinate permitting with Municipalities, Cities, Counties, State and Federal agencies.
QualificationsAssociate degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience in MicroStation or AutoCADExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompetenciesAbility to work well in a team environment within the office and with different disciplinesCan work independently and request guidanceMeet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyResponsive to requestsMaintain company confidentialityFlexibility in process and proceduresEffectively manage multiple projects concurrentlyEffectively communicate and share information between company employeesProvide CAD support for assigned projectsResearch, acquire, record, and verify easement informationInterpret survey data, plan, deed information, and engineered construction drawingsBenefitsSalary commensurate with experienceEmployer paid health/dental/vision insuranceEmployer paid STD/LTDLife InsuranceCandidate referral bonus401k retirement plan with employer matchPaid HolidaysEarned vacation time
