We are a leading manufacturer within our segment. As a Designer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing heavy-duty steel parts and weldments that meet our high standards for quality and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design complex steel parts and weldments using Solidworks, leveraging your expertise in 3D modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) Collaborate with our engineering, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into our manufacturing process Develop and maintain detailed designs, specifications, and documentation for steel parts and weldments Work closely with vendors to source materials and ensure compliance with design specifications Analyze and resolve design-related issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing design changes as needed Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and instructions for product operation, maintenance, and repair Assist with other duties as required
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Designer or Drafter, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment Expertise in Solidworks and 3D modeling tools Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles, including finite element analysis (FEA) Excellent math skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Nice to
Have:
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as
