Full-Time Position Summary The CAD/CAM & Preparation Technician is responsible for the digital design, preparation, and manufacturing support of dental restorations within a dental laboratory environment. This role combines traditional model preparation techniques with modern digital workflows, CAD design, CAM production support, and quality control. The technician works closely with other laboratory departments to ensure accurate, esthetic, and functional restorations are delivered on time and meet laboratory quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesCAD/CAM Operations Design crowns, bridges, implant restorations, veneers, custom abutments, and other dental restorations using CAD software. Prepare and manage digital case files for milling and 3D printing workflows. Nest, schedule, and monitor milling and additive manufacturing production. Perform routine maintenance on related equipment. Troubleshoot digital workflow issues and communicate production concerns to supervisors. Quality Control Inspect digital designs and manufactured restorations for accuracy, fit, margins, occlusion, and overall quality. Maintain compliance with laboratory quality standards and production protocols. Collaborate with technicians and managers to resolve case discrepancies. Document remakes, adjustments, and quality-related concerns. Workflow & Collaboration Coordinate with production teams, including ceramics, implants, removables, and finishing departments. Prioritize workload to meet production deadlines and customer expectations. Assist in developing and improving digital workflows and standard operating procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Pay:
From $20.77 per hour
