Job Description
CAD DRAFTER
Heavy equipment manufacturer has an opening for an experienced CAD Drafter in Spokane, WA. This is a full-time position. Salary depends on qualifications with a benefit package consisting of paid holidays, paid vacation, medical, dental, and vision. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics- Position is primarily responsible for generating production drawings from engineering concept designs, and generating isometric exploded view assembly drawings.
- Strong communication skills are required with other employees, vendors and customers.
- Advanced computer skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for industrial applications in 2D and 3D.
- Strong PC skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints.
- Must have a strong work ethic, dependable attendance history, and work effectively with coworkers and management.
- Must be able to follow instructions have the ability to work without direct supervision is necessary for this position, as is having the ability to meet schedule requirements.
- Drafting experience in structural steel fabrication and machining recommended.
- Knowledge of structural steel materials, fasteners, hydraulics, fabrication and welding methods recommended.
- Must be able to produce drawings for shop fabrication, machining, field assembly, and isometric exploded assemblies with speed and accuracy.
- Detail oriented with strong technical writing skills, knowledge of drafting standards and strong math skills are all desirable.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and good memory retention are all desirable.
- Willing to accept any challenge and perform the job or task at the highest level of professionalism.
