Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will create, update, and maintain precise technical drawings that support the design and manufacture of dies, fixtures, and tooling components. You'll collaborate closely with diemakers, sales, and press operators to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional who enjoys problem-solving, working in a production-focused environment, and seeing their designs come to life on the shop floor. What You'll Do Interpret customer files, specifications, and layouts to produce accurate CAD designs Collaborate with diemakers and production teams to ensure tooling designs are practical and efficient Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes and manufacturing feedback Maintain organized records of CAD files, revisions, and documentation Assist in improving die designs to enhance productivity, quality, and performance Perform tolerance analysis and accuracy checks to ensure compliance with standards Support troubleshooting and resolve design-related tooling challenges What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent (technical certificate or associate degree in CAD drafting preferred) Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Impact, or similar programs Solid understanding of machining, tooling, and fabrication processes Ability to read job specifications and layout drawings accurately Basic math skills and strong problem-solving ability Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality Excellent organizational and time-management skills Preferred (But Not Required) 2+ years of CAD experience in a manufacturing or tool‑and‑die environment Familiarity with steel rule cutting die s in the corrugated industry Experience with CNC programming or CAM software Why Join Mark Maker?
