Job Description

Lange Bros. Woodwork Co., Inc. is Manufacturer of Quality Architectural Woodwork in Beecher and Milwaukee. We are looking for an experienced Project Draftsman. As a Project Draftsman you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all projects are accurately represented in drawings, facilitating the production process, and ensuring quality standards are met. This is a full-time position--hours are 6 am - 4:30 pm M-F with additional overtime as needed. Key Responsibilities
    Drafting and Designing :
    Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and fabrication drawing using various computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
      Material Selection:
      Collaborate with designers and engineers to select appropriate materials for each project, considering factors such as durability, aesthetics, and budget constraints.
        Project Coordination :
        Coordinate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints, ensuring that drafting activities are aligned with project objectives.
          Prototype Development:
          Assist in the development of prototypes and samples, providing technical drawings and specifications to guide the manufacturing process.
            Quality Assurance:
            Conduct quality checks on drafted plans and prototypes to identify any discrepancies or errors, ensuring that final products meet design specifications and quality standards.
              Documentation:
              Maintain accurate records of all drafted plans, revisions, and project specifications, ensuring that documentation is organized and accessible for reference purposes.
                Collaboration:
                Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, production staff, and external contractors, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
                  Continuous Improvement:
                  Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in woodwork manufacturing and drafting, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
                  Job Type:
                  Full-time Salary:
                  $53,040-58,000
                  Schedule:
                  10-hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime as needed.
                  Qualifications:
                  • Strong technical drafting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
                  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
                  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
                  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
                  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
                  • Prior experience in woodwork manufacturing or related industries is preferred.
                  • Autocad, Cabinet Vision, Fusion 360, and office software experience preferred. Physical Demands
                  Schedule- Monday-Friday:
                  6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
                  • Comfortable working in a changing and busy environment
                  • Able to work overtime as needed.
