CAD Technician

Job Summary B&B Energy Services is seeking a CAD Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of duties for mechanical piping projects including: creating precise and detailed 2D drawings for our fabricators, recording material and weld information onto drawings, reviewing drawings for accuracy, reviewing associated material documentation. Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and ProCAD for mechanical or structural projects. Create accurate prints for fabricators to record material and weld information. Transfer all recorded data into drawings for turnover package. Review and verify material schedules, grades, and sizes according to client requirements. Assist in reviewing drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with API and ASME codes and client requirements. Support the drafting process by maintaining organized files, version control, and documentation of all CAD work. Skills Proficiency in CAD software. Experience with Bluebeam (for PDF markup) and Microsoft Products is highly desirable. Strong understanding of drafting standards, schematics, system design principles, and construction documentation processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate ideas into clear digital models. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various stages of project development.

Pay:

$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
