This role sits within a process engineering team and reports to the department manager. The position offers paid relocation assistance and an annual performance bonus. Schedule Monday through Friday, standard day shift. Occasional extended shifts and weekend coverage may be required based on operational need. Compensation $86,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience. Sign-on bonus available. Annual performance bonus of 8% to 12%. Paid relocation assistance provided. What You'll Do In this role, you will serve as the technical resource for one or more assigned chemical process units, with daily responsibility for monitoring unit operations and identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce costs, enhance safety, and lower emissions. You will develop recommendations with technical substantiation and present them to the unit team for implementation. You will design, document, and evaluate chemical processes for improved or new products, and lead scale-up efforts from development through production. This includes selecting appropriate equipment and control devices, writing operating procedures, and providing hands-on training for safe equipment operation. You will also conduct tests and evaluate results for proposed operating changes aimed at improving product quality, increasing production capacity, or reducing operating costs. A meaningful portion of this role involves cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations colleagues to maximize equipment uptime and production quality. You will collaborate with the unit team on the annual control budget, operating reviews, and economic studies. You will provide technical support for PSM/RMP compliance and other regulatory programs, and assist with the design and operation of equipment to minimize environmental releases. On selected projects, you will take on leadership responsibilities including planning, activity coordination, and progress reporting, with the possibility of supervising technicians as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering 10 or more years of experience as a Process Engineer in a chemical or petroleum manufacturing environment Demonstrated knowledge of chemical process design, documentation, and scale-up Experience providing technical support for PSM/RMP and environmental regulatory programs Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs repeatedly during a shift, and work extended shifts up to 12 hours Ability to work effectively in environments involving exposure to chemicals, requiring good sensory awareness (hearing and smell) Preferred Qualifications Experience with distillation processes Background in evaluating the feasibility of new technology adoption and capacity changes Experience preparing operating budgets and conducting economic feasibility studies Prior supervisory or project leadership experience in an engineering role Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation selection Compensation and Benefits Base salary of $86,000 to $110,000 depending on experience Sign-on bonus Annual performance bonus of 8% to 12% Paid relocation assistance Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off To apply , submit your resume through Indeed.
