Essential Duties:
Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality. Conduct process simulations, heat and material balance calculations, and scale-up activities from lab/pilot to production. Prepare and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and other technical documentation. Monitor and analyze process performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and waste minimization. Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams. Lead or participate in hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), risk assessments, and safety reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. Collaborate with R D, operations, and project teams to implement new technologies and process improvements. Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure alignment with industry best practices. Provide training and mentorship to plant personnel on process engineering fundamentals and safe work practices. Support capital projects by defining process requirements, evaluating vendor proposals, and overseeing commissioning/start-up activities. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other applicable standards. Track and report process KPIs to management, recommending strategies for continuous improvement. Manage chemical process improvement and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements while meeting project timelines and budget objectives.

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

7-10 years of experience, PSM experience is preferred
