Responsibilities:

Design and engineer automation controls using advanced digital control systems. Develop programs and user interfaces using interactive tools. Understand and translate automation code from a variety of programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Sequential Function Charts. Build and implement digital logic for safe and reliable equipment control, including permissives, interlocks, and batch sequences. Build and implement analog control strategies, including PID, feedforward control, and many other complex control schemes. Develop intricate HMI designs using graphical interface design tools. Travel, as required, up to 50-75% of the time, to ensure successful project execution. Communicate appropriately in a professional team environment. As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will interface with project managers and clients to lead efforts for the development of advanced process control solutions in a variety of platforms, including Honeywell Experion, Honeywell TDC, and/or Emerson Ovation. You'll be expected to quickly adapt your engineering skills to solve complex process control solutions using modern programming environments, using both DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition) systems. We expect you to have excellent communication skills, fast and accurate typing skills, and a very high level of proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. You absolutely must bring a teachable attitude to the job, be willing to do grunt work, show up on time to work efficiently and productively, and respectfully communicate in a professional work atmosphere.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

Experience in Emerson Ovation, Honeywell Experion PKS or Honeywell TDC Control Systems Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree. Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills. Must have willingness and ability to learn. Self-motivated and able to complete assignments quickly and work productively in a professional business environment. Reliable team player, working together in a team environment toward the highest degree of team and customer satisfaction. Competency working with Microsoft Word & Excel.
