Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Chemical Process Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in chemical manufacturing processes. Duties Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes utilizing process simulation software and CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Lead process troubleshooting efforts by analyzing engineering data, conducting laboratory experiments, and implementing corrective actions to resolve operational issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and project management to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare detailed process documentation, including process flow diagrams, control strategies, and validation protocols aligned with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations. Manage project schedules by planning milestones, coordinating resources, and tracking progress to meet production goals efficiently. Conduct engineering data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and process safety enhancements. Support regulatory audits by maintaining accurate records of process validation activities and ensuring compliance with legal standards in pharmaceutical or industrial chemical manufacturing environments. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in process engineering are a plus. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within chemical or pharmaceutical industries. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering unit operations, process design principles, and chemical process engineering concepts. Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD), CAD tools (AutoCAD), and data analytics platforms for engineering data analysis. Hands-on laboratory experience coupled with understanding of manufacturing & controls standards such as CGMP and FDA regulations. Familiarity with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and process automation systems. Excellent project management skills with the ability to develop project schedules and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. Strong analytical skills for engineering troubleshooting, data analysis, and process optimization initiatives. Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate across departments and ensure alignment on project objectives. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments, and industrial chemical manufacturing best practices.
