OVERVIEW
The Process Engineer II provides engineering services for sugar packaging and processing. Focusing on improving current operations and facilitate the growth process efficiency by developing & executing process improvement.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing methods of improving the existing process through automation, process developments and new technologies. Works with Control Engineers to optimize Process Controls to fine tune process control points to achieve efficiencies and improved quality. Assist process superintendents and supervisors as needed to troubleshoot issues in the process. Strives to constantly improve the energy efficiency of the process and the refinery. Manages process projects and tasks as assigned by the process manager. Works within all safety, environmental, food safety and food security procedures. Performs lab testing to support improvements.
WORK EXPERIENCES
Five years of Chemical/Process Engineering experience desired; prior knowledge in Food industry or Consumer Product Goods is preferred Previous work experience developing or assisting in the development of new processes/procedures Prior involvement with supporting multiple capital projects Experience supervising employees or leading a project including employees in a unionized work environment is a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS B.S.
degree (or higher) in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or related field from an accredited college/university
