Job Description

About the Role As a Molding Process Specialist, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for optimizing injection molding operations to ensure peak efficiency and product quality. You will leverage your deep understanding of machine mechanics and resin properties to drive continuous improvement and maintain high-performance production standards. Responsibilities Execute press startups and perform complex troubleshooting to resolve molding defects and equipment malfunctions. Refine and optimize molding processes to improve cycle times, reduce scrap rates, and maximize output consistency. Conduct precise mold setups and process adjustments in accordance with established technical specifications. Provide technical guidance to production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and process sheets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and quality assurance, to address operational bottlenecks. Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives and root cause analysis to enhance overall production reliability. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding process optimization. Advanced proficiency in mold setup, machine troubleshooting, and auxiliary equipment operation. Comprehensive knowledge of various resins, molding fundamentals, and defect identification. Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Formal training in Scientific Molding or RJG methodologies. Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems. Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles. Familiarity with operating equipment from manufacturers such as Toyo, Milacron, Toshiba, Arburg, Engel, or Husky.
