Process Development Engineer Location:
Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team focused on advancing process design and development for parenteral drug products. Our team values scientific excellence and technical innovation to drive success in drug product commercialization and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Plan, design, execute, and document laboratory studies related to formulation, aseptic processing, visual inspection, and fill/finish process development in support of product commercialization and life cycle management. Apply basic science and engineering principles, including first principles modeling, to solve technical challenges and develop reproducible results. Participate in cross-functional teams to support process development and commercialization of pipeline and commercial products, including ongoing manufacturing support. Perform data analysis using advanced statistical and analytical techniques, author technical protocols, and communicate scientific findings to team leads and stakeholders.
Required:
Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience. Aseptic fill finish manufacturing or manufacturing technical services experience, including development of control strategies and process performance monitoring. Experience with fill/finish process scale-up and technology transfer, utilizing gap analysis, root cause analysis, and risk assessment tools such as Fishbone diagrams and FMEA. Ability to use scientific principles to leverage bench and pilot scale models for process performance characterization.
