For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended. Role Specific Qualifications At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university. Desired degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027. Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer of 2027. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively both independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills. Preferred experience with metallurgy, heat treatment, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, composites, coatings, corrosion, adhesives, or polymeric materials Preferred experience familiarity with materials characterization and laboratory testing techniques Preferred experience familiarity with engineering drawings, material specifications, or industry standards Preferred experience with failure analysis, microscopy, mechanical testing, or other materials characterization techniques Preferred experience working with aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, nick-based superalloys, stainless steels, composites, or high-temperature materials Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:Denver, CO Pueblo, CO Cape Canaveral, FL Decatur, AL Summary Salary Range:
