Role Overview The Process Engineer II is responsible for process engineering design functions including combustion and steam turbine auxiliary systems, process equipment, instrumentation and control integration, and start-up support for MPW-A power projects in the Americas. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree and 3-5 years of experience with an EPC firm or combustion/steam turbine OEM, demonstrating strong initiative, communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Prepare heat and material balances and process flow diagrams (PFDs) Develop P&IDs and process data sheets for instrumentation and equipment Apply process instrumentation and control principles and review hydraulic calculations Support control valve specification, heat exchanger thermal calculations, and pump sizing Understand design workflows and engineering work processes Maintain strong knowledge of Mitsubishi Power technologies and participate in a collaborative work environment Contribute to SOPs, work instructions, and support CAPA process activities Support team initiatives, customer service, innovation, and multicultural work environments Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 3-5 years of EPC or OEM experience Experience with P&ID management, hydraulic calculations, and heat and material balance preparation Strong analytical skills and practical understanding of simple and combined cycle power plant design Experience with combustion or steam turbine auxiliary system design and commissioning Experience with
HAZOP, SIL
reviews, punch-out, and startup activities; hands-on Smart Plant P&ID experience Technical understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and P&IDs; multilingual skills beneficial Advanced MS Excel skills; willingness to learn VBA if needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort presenting to groups Ability to travel up to 20% to customer offices and construction sites as required Why Should You Apply?
