This role will lead process development, optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Process Engineer will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding processes. Troubleshoot complex molding, process, equipment, tooling, and quality issues using data-driven problem-solving techniques. Improve manufacturing performance through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and root cause analysis methodologies. Support new product introductions, process validations, equipment installations, and manufacturing scale-up activities. Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process documentation, and process control systems. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements. Lead engineering projects, establish timelines, track milestones, and communicate project status to leadership. Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing best practices. Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and junior engineering personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, molding machines, tooling, molds, process controls, and automation systems. Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis methodologies in a production environment. Experience supporting process development, optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, project management, and process improvement skills.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k
  • 115k/year range plus bonus opportunity.
